  1. Evolution has no memory and no prediction. If we say that evolution is intelligence, then it turns out that intelligence does not need all of this. And this contradicts my intuitive understanding of intelligence as the ability to make choices based on previous events and on events that are expected in the future.

I saw it in the comments about the intelligence of the bacterial population – all of the above applies to it. Does this population have memory and prediction? Memory is possible, but prediction is definitely not. Bacteria are reactive, and intelligence is proactive.

  2. Is there a generally accepted definition of intelligence?

IMHO, science hasn't created it yet.

And as a result of evolution, I remember, not the most intelligent, not the strongest, not the fastest survives, but the most adapted, and to specific environmental conditions.

  3. You can say anything, even the following::

to “determine” the role of intelligence in an individual's life, you need to understand exactly what functions are performed by such types of nervous activity of the body as feeling, reason, memory, mind, reason, consciousness. It should become clear to those who have drawn up a diagram of the interaction of these functions that intelligence is an ” option “that allows the minds of its owners to find solutions to problems formulated by the mind without using logical schemes available in memory that are suitable for the mind, but by analyzing those data of the body's direct feeling of what is happening to it” here and now”, which are not included in the” picture of reality “for the reason that the mind” filters out “them – habitually treating them as” insignificant ” for the vital activity of the body…

  4. According to the Holy Scriptures, the world was created by an intelligent Creator. In the first book of creation it is said that God created animals and birds after their kind:

“And God created the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and all the creeping things of the earth after their kind. And God saw that it was good. ” (Gen 1: 25)

God has imbued animals with instinctive wisdom, and humans can even learn something from them and apply it to science and technology. However, they are not aware of this wisdom. While people were created in the image and likeness of God, that is, able to consciously manifest the same qualities as God. Power, wisdom justice and love. God did not use evolution.

“And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen 1: 27).

  5. intelligence pursues a pre-determined goal, at least a minimal one-to survive.

evolution goes through its options, sacrifices failed attempts, and continues to experiment with those who survive.

AI implies rational activity, and the iterating automaton has only an impulse (direction of iteration).

in biology, there are micro-intelligences, such as enzymes, receptors-simple chains of actions are triggered when specific signals are received. but at the level of evolution as a whole, there is no intelligence.

evolution can only be recognized as an instrument of some kind of universal intelligence … like God … so God wanted a complex universe, and launched evolution, which shakily grows something complex on many planets, and the planets themselves .. but he does it randomly, without meaning or purpose .. and in a billion years, God will come and see what happens.
