  1. I will tell you better the law of the psyche, thanks to which some techniques work, others – in any way.

The bottom line is that the only way to create this drive for learning (i.e., motivation without compulsion) is when learning for you is either a pleasant and exciting thing in itself (not just useful), or something directly related to it. Whatever it is – earnings, dating, and so on.

Methods built on the antediluvian principle of “you have to force yourself” – they do not just do not work. They work the other way around – once you're done, you'll find that you're even more sick of studying than you were before.

And the secret is that the brain fixes the motivation to do something based on reinforcement (reward), that is, the same pleasure directly from the activity. The advantage of this is that initially there may not be any motivation, but the reinforcement mechanism will determine it over time. The main thing is not to neglect them.

  2. Laziness can be a sign of fatigue or a sign that you think this activity is pointless. I've already answered a similar question quite extensively here. I recommend watching it.

    Have a good study!

  3. Laziness is neither a bad thing nor a good thing. Laziness is the body's reaction to the fact that the body needs rest or it is not interesting, it is not necessary. So take a break first. Change your leisure activity. Answer the question of what is interesting in studying for me, there is something for sure. You can work with a coach to see the meaning and value of studying for you personally.

  4. Here it is important to understand what exactly prevents you from learning.

    1. Procrastination. Do you notice that you can postpone tasks for a long time, and when you start, everything is not so terrible? Then go to time management. In particular, the Pomodoro technique can help.

    • Isolate yourself from everything that distracts you: a smartphone, unnecessary browser tabs, snacks, tea, etc.
    • Promise yourself a small reward: 5 minutes on YouTube, a favorite song, something delicious, a cigarette, etc.
    • Set the timer for 25 minutes and start the task
    • When the timer rings, set the next one, this time for 5 minutes. At this time, take a break and get the promised reward
    • Repeat the cycle as many times as you need.
This technique keeps you in good shape, allows you not to suffer and not be distracted. Divide the time for work and time for rest (and remember that neither of them is infinite!). This way you can spend both most effectively.

    2. Inappropriate format. Different training formats are suitable for different people. Laziness can be caused by a dislike of how you learn. Try to diversify the process:

    • Buy a cool new office space. Highlight important moments, stick stickers — whatever your heart desires! Let the synopsis become a pleasant and creative activity
    • Immerse yourself in the topic with video lectures, YouTube, longreads, etc. You may find the very sight of the textbook repulsive: they often all “look the same”, and we've already seen them a hundred times. It's hard to get interested in something that doesn't look new
    • Go to a new place to learn: coffee shop, library, park (if it's warm). By the way, in a new place, the material can be learned better, since the details of your “hike” and what you learned will be connected!
