  1. Hello. I am a professional psychologist and personal growth coach. Children's ideas about the world are the norm. What to do to grow up: see your core values and needs. Keep a diary and record all the events of the day in it for at least six months in the evening. At the end of the week, analyze what happened during the week. Write it out in another notebook, but how would you like to spend your time? As a result, the second notebook will become the desired life that you are striving for. Keep a notebook according to the algorithm: what happened (the situation), what I thought, what I felt, and what I did. For example: I was insulted by my mother, I thought that I was not a man, I felt angry and annoyed and was rude to her. Thanks for the question. Or better yet, go through full coaching and level up.

  2. Accumulation of knowledge and skills, experience of responsibility. You will not overcome youthful maximalism with any “initiations”, as it comes from an understandable desire to change the world, an excess of youth's strength, and combined with a lack of knowledge about this world, which is noticeably more complex than it seems at this age. Moreover, it does not need to be specifically overcome, in general. This is a normal quality for a young person, in my opinion. It encourages you to act. The problem arises where your youthful maximalism will be used by others, taking advantage of your lack of knowledge and experience. So build up your knowledge and experience.

  3. If we are talking about a generational conflict in which you want to take one of the sides, then there is the main Russian text on this topic – “Fathers and Sons”. It is also interesting to see the interests of young and old, idealists and practitioners collide in the “Quiet Don”. In the cinema, I have seen the film “Educators” (Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei), in which a group of activists took a manager hostage and is forced to somehow contact him while the ransom is being prepared.

  4. In short, nothing.

    If a little more detail:

A child's view of the world is a set of your judgments and thoughts on a variety of issues. So, after reading a book or watching a movie, you can't become an adult. You can go to the army (joke) and become an “adult”, but this is only a way to become “different”, not an adult. To be an adult, I think, is to always understand that any opinion is an opinion, and a fact is a fact. And sometimes it is very difficult to distinguish facts from opinions.

Live every day with the desire to become better, smarter and begin to understand more – you will not notice how you will become not just an “adult”, but a good person. Which is much more important.

  5. How to overcome youthful maximalism and give up the childish idea of the world – for a start, NEVER listen to people who call themselves ” Specialists in initiations of male and female maturity.” As well as other “specialists” in quitting smoking, drinking and injecting forever, in initiating rational thinking and coding from divorce to money forever.

Then, in the same way to understand that OP OP and get rid of, especially with the help of books and videos from childishness in the head will not work. Although I am well aware that this approach is the most that neither is a teenager – ” I want everything at once and easily.”

Just get used to two things. First, the more things you control, the better. And, no, I'm not talking about pathological control of everything and everything when people just get nervous and start getting involved in everything within reach. I'm talking about intelligently resolving things in your life. The biggest problem of infantas is usually that they are waiting for some kind of phantom mother who will come, calm down and solve everything. It goes to the teacher for them when there are problems in a certain subject at the university, and then to the deputy dean when they are expelled, and then to the dean when they are completely expelled. The mother will go to look for a job and tell the infant what to do and what he is interested in. It will give you money, warmth and care.

In the meantime, the infant can save the world.

Here we jump abruptly to the second problem of infantile people – they are constantly engaged in some kind of [email protected]$it. Now they are great revolutionary oppositionists, now they are great patriotic defenders of the country, now they are fighters for the rights of gays, then animals, then intellectual nationalists, then emo, then feminists. No, I'm not saying that all these classes are for children. Just when a 16-year-old nerd proudly declares that he is an Elf of the Eighty-Fifth Level (or whatever the maximum is already there), just because he still hasn't had time to do much in his life and only sits in the computer zadrot for hours – this is still where it goes. But when a person in his thirties declares (to a third-party question like ” Who are you in life?”) that he's the same Elf (although that usually sounds like a Vegan)./Political scientist / Liberal/Feminist), then know for sure that he is most likely an Asshole. You don't even need to look for such people – they will break into your personal space and start telling you that pandas/faggots/Ukrainians are offended all over the world. Or someone else. Or any other phantom nonsense that is totally unrelated to real life. And when you add to this the fact that such people usually do not work anywhere much (they sit in an ordinary office or fast food restaurant, without regard to their education and tastes) and do nothing special besides CHANGING THE WORLD AND REVOLUTIONIZING THE PUBLIC CONSCIOUSNESS!!!111 times, then we understand that this is a canonical infant. Who is still waiting for a magical mother who will feed him and wash his socks and find him a beautiful smart wife. In the meantime, he can sit and solve GLOBAL PROBLEMS instead of just starting to pursue his own life on his own.

  6. Youthful maximalism is a normal property of a developing organism. Don't try to overcome it. Everyone's had it. From the texts on the topic, I once read “In whose knapsacks are the marshal's batons”. But. Someone got sick/life taught/matured. But there is always a small percentage of those who , despite the matured peers, stubbornly cling to ideas that seem to be out of this world. And here these unique people have two paths. If they are lucky enough to live in an unnecessary time and place, they will have a bonfire, a gallows, a barrel of gunpowder, etc. As they say, bad luck, but no one is immune from this. But if the stars come together and you live in an era, in a country where your ideas are in demand – revolutionary situations, gold rush, space flights (once for such ideas of youthful maximalism, you could easily fly into the abyss) silicon Valley, then you're in luck. Due to the fact that someone once had a persistent youthful maximalism, I now do not sit in a cave, but type this text.

  7. I would recommend the book “King, Warrior, Magician, Lover”by Jungian analysts Robert Moore and Douglas Gillett. A new look at the archetypes of a mature man.” The authors write about the basics of mature and authentic masculinity.

Robert Johnson, ” HE: Deep Aspects of Male Psychology.” This book describes the path of Parsifal's maturity, as a naive simpleton becomes a mature husband.

  8. I would suggest starting with Varlam Shalamov's Kolyma Stories. Then you can read any text of your choice by Yuri Mamleev. The entire Hitchcock filmography is also recommended for viewing.
