  1. Islam, which emerged much later than Christianity, cannot give an objective assessment of events that happened and were described long before its appearance. Therefore, if we can talk about distortion, then the distortion of the original is a copy, or an analog. In this case, Christianity is the original, and what is later is an analogy, a modified retelling. In extreme cases, Judaism, which emerged earlier, could compete with Christianity, but not religious trends, a number of centuries later. And if we talk about some, let's say, clarifying revelation, in order to correct Christianity, then Christianity itself must contain specific references to such a possibility, otherwise the unity and continuity of the faith is lost. And without them, all this is not much different from any religious sect based on the ideas of Christianity. There are all prophets and messengers, and their name is legion, only they do not serve Christ, but hide behind His name. There is also a warning in the Bible about the appearance of such currents. Otherwise, anyone can declare themselves a prophet who came with Good News, or a leader of a religious movement, and build another sect, and fool people's heads. Look at the dates of the creation of sects – Adventists, SI, White Brotherhood and others-they also believe that Christianity is distorted, and only they bring the Light of Truth to the world, and the rest of the opinions are wrong, although they themselves are a week old, on the scale of the history of Christianity. Of course, Muslims are not a sect, but a full-fledged denomination. But, I think, many sectarians also consider the Muslim religion to be a distortion, although they appeared after it. Because their task is to draw people along with them, and to do this, it is necessary to discredit everyone else, get rid of competition, introduce doubts, tear everyone they can from the body of the Church, nothing new either now, or 1000 years ago, or during the life of Jesus.

So, we cannot say that Christianity is distorted in relation to Islam. The question is more-how distorted are the religious movements that emerged after Christianity, and on its basis, and what goals they pursue. Let's leave this topic to theologians.

As for what Christianity was like at the very beginning, everything is written in the same Bible. What activities the Apostles and their disciples conducted, how they lived in communities, and how they accepted death for the faith – there are additional sources, including Roman and other sources. How similar this is to the Muslims at the beginning of their existence, we can't say for sure. There were different stages in each course, and there are still common features, as well as differences. Perhaps someone will be able to give an answer, for example, in such and such a year, religion A was 76% similar to religion B, but these are all, you know, such unreliable statements and such sly figures…

All love, peace! May the Lord protect us all!

  2. The answer to this question is found in the fifth surah of the Qur'an.

    1. We also took a covenant from those who said, ” We are Christians.” They forgot a portion of what they were reminded of, so We stirred up enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection. Allah will inform them of what they used to do.

The Qur'an points out the following misconceptions in Christianity::

    1. Christ is the son of God.

Disbelieved those who said:: “Indeed, Allah is the Messiah, the son of Maryam.” Say: “Who can hinder Allah even a little, if He wants to destroy the Messiah, the son of Mary, his mother, and all who are on earth?”

    1. People are God's favorite children

The Jews and Christians said, ” We are the sons of Allah and His beloved.” Say: “Why then does He punish you for your sins? Oh, no! You are just one of the people He created.

    1. God is Triune (God, Son and Holy Spirit)

Disbelievers are those who say, ” Allah is the third in the Trinity.” There is no god but the One God!

    1. There are numerous saints.

Whoever associates partners with Allah, He has forbidden him Paradise.

    1. Jesus is God.

When Allaah said: “O' Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say to the people, 'Accept me and my mother as two gods along with Allah'?”: “Glory to You! How could I say something I didn't have the right to?

    1. You can draw God and saints on icons.

Everyone who creates images (will be) in the Fire, where for each image created by him, someone will be created who will torment him in Hell

Thus, the Koran criticizes Christians for misinterpreting the Holy Scriptures and deciding that God is triune, has a son, and also began to draw icons with the faces of Christ, Mary and saints. It is believed that this is a pagan relic-the creation of idols and numerous gods.

  3. According to any laws, the original appears first, you can distort it later, or you can improve it (adjust it to meet current needs).

But in matters of religion, in no case can you offend anyone! We can only note the obvious: Each religion corresponds to the characteristics of the society that adheres to it. And everyone is happy with everything. And if someone thinks that their religion is better, they can talk about its advantages or ask an interesting question about another religion. But no one has the right to say who is better and who is worse. With such a person, there is no point in maintaining a conversation.
