  1. In my blog, I touched on the topic of intelligence in general and what in general can affect the inhibition and difficulty of intellectual processes. Quickness is part of intelligence, so all tips and descriptions will be suitable in one way or another — you can read it, I'll leave links. In short, intelligence is strongly influenced by psychological problems of various contents, especially a positive survival strategy and the lack of healthy aggression. The more aggression, the more intelligence, even if this aggression is immoral and unhealthy (for example, bandits in power). That is, if we are talking about purely everyday intelligence, its rhythm and scale significantly depend on aggression. Aggression is not so much in the sense of anger, but in the sense of confidence in yourself, in your abilities, in the right to be and act, and so on. In addition, the more fears and anxiety, stress, the more inhibits the nervous system, because the amount of fear is directly proportional to the absence of this most healthy aggression. Fear freezes intellectual processes or leads them down the path of childish ideas and logical errors. If you do not separate intelligence from the emotional component, a person opens up effective means for its expansion.

  2. Yes, you can develop your wits!
In other words, thinking means being able to connect, connect seemingly unrelated things.
    Example of a riddle.
The girl is sitting in a dungeon, and the scythe is on the street!
It should be linked like this: what does it look like? Carrot! It sits in the ground, and the tops are on top.

So, you can train like this:
Take the attributes of an object and find an analogy for it – a similar object.

Example-train, list the attributes and specify an item with similar attributes.

One option, a riddle: long green and smells like sausage-what is it?
    Answer: electric train from Moscow!

Thus, you can create simulators for yourself and develop your own ingenuity.

    A simpler option:
We take two words and connect them so that we get a new concept.

Example: a hare and a star.
1 / star hare-title of a fantasy story (not written yet)
2 / hare star – what is it about?

Offtop. I remembered the name of the movie-Hare over the Abyss.
Take a look, you won't regret it.

Such training is like a game.
So, by playing, you can develop your wits first, and then others!

    All Reasonable Things!

  3. Quickness refers to intelligence and is considered innate. However, if you do not train (develop a skill) innate abilities, they may remain in their infancy, and vice versa, if you train the construction of associative thinking (the connection of words with images) of a child, you can achieve high results.

  4. Is the ability to walk an innate quality, or does it evolve?

How do you answer this question?

it seems to be congenital – a one-year-old child “suddenly” starts walking…

But try to forbid him to do this – to swaddle him and not let him out of diapers until 3 years old..

Or talk to “Mowgli” – children who were lost in the forest in infancy and developed in the company of the animals that fed them…

or ask a person who has been lying down for a long time as a result of an illness-whether it was easy for him to walk in the first days after he was allowed to get up…

And you will understand that if you do not train one of the seemingly innate qualities, it dies, ceases to develop and function

  5. Ingenuity is the ability to construct a third fact based on two or more known facts, which contains elements of the primary facts, but is a new entity that is not contained in the initial data. Smartness refers to the logical level of consciousness, which is almost undeveloped in the absolute majority of people. Smartness should not be confused with professional experience – knowledge of a large number of practical techniques.

  6. Before discussing something constructively, from the standpoint of science, you need to give an UNAMBIGUOUS answer.! defining what we're discussing. And so the swan, cancer and pike. Ten people commented and each gave their own vision of smartness. And it turns out that everyone is right in their own way. But this doesn't happen in science. There's only ONE in it! the correct answer, which is called a statement of fact. If there is a fact, then it has parameters that can be measured, and based on these measurements, draw conclusions that can be successfully applied in practice.

If the subject of discussion does not have an unambiguous meaning, then such a discussion, according to the laws of scientific logic, is “about nothing”.

Therefore, if we assume that intelligence is an innate (whether innate) quality of something incomprehensible, then this is the most real reasoning “about nothing”. And if intelligence is defined as the “speed” of making the right decisions, then there is already a fact and its parameters that can be measured. Based on the recorded results, you can draw specific conclusions about the level of intelligence of a particular person. And most importantly, through practice, you can find the answer to the question posed: “Is it possible to develop ingenuity?”

My answer to the question: “is it possible to develop intelligence”, is unambiguous – of course it is possible. There is only one way to develop your intelligence: it is to increase the amount of your knowledge (knowledge is only what is confirmed by practice) and master a more productive algorithm for extracting exactly the necessary information from memory.

  7. Everything that a person possesses is given to him by his parents. But to use it or not, he chooses for himself.
If mom or dad had a quick reaction(the same “quickness of mind”), then the child will also have it

  8. The brain thinks instantly – this consciousness slows down )

All our decisions are made by the brain in seconds/fractions of a second, and modern research shows that they are made even before they are realized ) So free will is under great threat )

A slow thinker, in this sense, is a person who is not able to trust intuition, that is, who is not able to catch the right decisions and accurate answers at the very moment of their realization, who begins to criticize their own decisions, question them, and look for alternatives…

That is, this problem is not intellectual, but purely psychological.

A confident person, for whom a satisfactory but quick solution is preferable to an excellent but slow one, and gives the impression of thinking quickly.

It's like a joke. There is a meeting in the forest, the lion asks: what kind of paint are we going to paint the yellowed grass? The monkey reacts instantly: let's go white! Well, we made a decision, voted, painted, and thanked the smart monkey… And the giraffe thought about it. And six months later, he comes to Lev, brings a bunch of biological certificates and says: listen, but you need to paint green, the grass should be green! Lev looks out of the window – and it's already winter, everything is white-and asks thoughtfully:: well, where were you for six months? And how am I going to repaint all this now?…)

  9. First, I'll define how I understand smartness.

The ability in images (images are not mental static images, but rather short videos with your presence inside them) to present a picture of what is happening with possible development options (not a sequential search with detailed nuances, but a simultaneous vision of all the cards in the deck), and quickly choose the appropriate option. This is not always a solution to an existing problem, but often a prevention. An example is the behavior of drivers on the roads.

Working with visual or other (audio, kinesthetic, or combined) images is a skill that is used in specific activities. Skills are learned. By the way, how many smart newborns do you know?

The habit of fixing on emotions or their derived states(anger, shame, guilt, rightness, doubt, amazement) interrupts the habit of thinking. These are psychological attitudes: what is more important – rightness or reality?

  10. Let's start by understanding what smartness is. It's not so much the speed and quality of an idea as its originality and unconventional approach. So if we are talking about the ability to be creative in solving a situation, then psychotherapeutic ways come to the rescue to cheer up and release the inner child, to regain the spontaneity of actions and thoughts.

This is the so-called “inner child healing” in the network through trances, art therapy, body-oriented therapy, but in fact-awareness of the part of the “Child” personality and strategies for accessing it.

Of course, no one has canceled the speed of Hippocratic nervous activity, but a “fast” choleric person with a blocked creative-childish-spontaneous part will always lose to a “slow” and well-developed melancholic.

Heredity is nothing, self-improvement is everything)

  11. Smartness is a skill. Any skill can be developed. Watch Sherlock, solve logic problems, and look for non-standard solutions for everyday tasks-and after a while you will become smart. But why do you need it? Being smart means knowing too much and understanding too much, seeing, so to speak, the whole background, calculating everything for many moves ahead. For many people, this is simply not suitable, so let's have a beer instead.

  12. Definitely. You can train and develop it, but it won't work in the background. Because the main condition here is the perception of the problem if the individual does not see the problem, then he will not begin to solve it, and no matter how much he trains in solutions, he will get stuck in detection.

  13. As mentioned above , you can develop almost everything, the main thing is desire.

Smartness – search for problems using an unusual view of the situation. That is, you need to find not only a solution, but also make it so that it does not seem quite obvious. That is, you need to think, use your imagination, imagination.

I believe that quickness can be developed in a fairly quick and easy way-solving simple problems. However, this should be done gradually, increasing the speed and complexity of the solution. Simply put-from an easy level to a difficult one.

These can be simple math, physics, or logic problems.

It is also worth passing various tests that will increase attention. After all, I believe that increased attention and accuracy are one of the most important components of quickness.

About tasks. Here you can find tasks about tourists, embroiderers, and people who find themselves in a poor situation and are looking for ways out. That's exactly where smartness comes in.

At your leisure, read various stories, for example, about the same adventurers who fell, it would seem, into a trap, but still found a way out and that is why they became part of history.

  14. You can develop everything that is natural, including the speed of reaction and the speed of thinking.

I suggest you try this option:

ask one of your friends and acquaintances to simulate situations in which a decision should be made as quickly as possible. For example, in 30 seconds. You get input data and solve this situation, and then slowly analyze it in detail and see where and how it could have been done and what it could have led to.
