Brain edema is a pathological condition that is accompanied by the accumulation of fluid in the brain tissues. The causes can be as follows: traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, tumor, intracranial hemorrhage, stroke, intoxication, birth trauma, atmospheric pressure changes.
The worst consequence of brain edema is death due to damage to vital centers located in the brain stem. Possible disability group.
