The answer, in general, is obvious: we will never be able to comprehend processes and phenomena that are built and occur according to different logical, philosophical, mathematical and physical laws than those that we know how and are used to using.
That is, any intelligence is limited not by the amount of possible knowledge and not by the depth of penetration into the problem, but by its own operating system.
The easiest way to understand this is, say, on the example of “human exploration of deep space”. If we think of deep space in Tsiolkovsky's terms – that is, if we assume that the same physical laws apply far beyond the Earth's stratosphere as they do near its surface-then the question is only to build a sufficiently powerful rocket that can fly far )
If we assume that all modern physical calculations are inadequate for the so-called “deep space”, and in general its very existence is just a human way of counting the road that goes beyond the horizon, the same as it is seen before the horizon line – then everything becomes more complicated.
There are even simpler examples, everyday ones. For example, given by Dovlatov: you convince a woman, give arguments, logical arguments, but all this is useless, because it turns out that the very sound of your voice is unpleasant to her ) Again, the operating system used is inadequate…
Intelligence is limited only by awareness, and as awareness expands, so does intelligence. Intelligence is a product of consciousness. A person does not just name new phenomena, but is able to find cause-and-effect relationships, build models and find confirmation of their guesses. Cognition is a manifestation of the law of reflection. Everything that falls into the field of view of a Person will sooner or later find its explanation, i.e. it will be displayed in all the details, it will become available to the intellect.
They say one cannot understand Brahman. An undisclosed opportunity. It is impossible to predict it , as it is always reflected in the opposite way, to any event.
Manifested or unmanifested. This quality of the Creator is called Abstract or hidden by the Tai.
Perhaps the best answer to this question is to try to think independently about what we can do and think about what we can't do. But even here everything depends on relativity – some people can easily realize the boundlessness of space, imagine a four-dimensional spatial dimension and even spatial pits. But others can't. So no one but yourself can answer the question “What can you make sense of and what can't?”.
It is not our intelligence that is limited. This is our automatic choice from birth, having identified with the personality and its limitations. EVERYTHING can and should be understood if you want to get out of automatism and start living like a human being. You can even rationalize everything except Freedom of Choice. Rather, external signs and mechanisms can be described, but its real implementation is UNKNOWABLE. Why, with all its FREEDOM, is it made by units in the millions and billions? And when they do, there are no objective, rational reasons either. It IS NOT CONTROLLED BY ANYTHING and NO ONE. He is Freedom. And it's not freedom from something. This Is Freedom Of Choice!!!
First, the question is illiterate, what does the word NEVER! mean? This is how much time (?), probably forever.
But, the fact is that a person changes not only every day or years, but even in hours. Today he thinks so, and tomorrow, suddenly, the know-how in his head will flash, and his thinking, as well as his worldview on the world, may turn sharply upside down. I was, for example, an atheist, and suddenly, I became a believer. There are many examples! So, never say NEVER!
*
Secondly. There are countless secrets and unknowns in the world.
And when a question is asked about the possibility or impossibility of something, then there is NO ANSWER to this question, because the question is stupid, rhetorical.
It all depends on the level of a person's spiritual consciousness. It is spiritual, not intellectual. It's a huge difference, like Earth and Sky!
Intellectuality is, in fact, a walking world library of knowledge, the knowledge that is acceptable to finish at least in hundreds of universities, and become an academician 33 times, but (!!!), while being spiritless, which means KNOWING NOTHING about the sacred secrets of the Creator's Universe.
Everything depends only on the spiritual growth of a person. And the higher this spirituality is, the closer is the understanding and awareness of the very essence of the MEANING of LIFE, both as a person and the meaning of the Universe!
And then, in this life, a person does not comprehend, and believes that it is incomprehensible, then in the next life, the same problem can be solved as a simple children's problem. For he laid the foundation of this thought-task in a previous life.
*
There is only one difficult mystery-the problem that can be solved in some way clearly and more intelligibly, when the soul of a person is in the distant and boundless eternal future, to approach, quite close, in rank, to the Creator; this mystery is the Creator Himself!
And all the other secrets of the Universe will be revealed, as you progress, all eternity, when the human soul, having come out of the whirl of Samsara, becomes a member of the Hierarchy of the Universe.
What to mean by “comprehend”. The limitation is already contained in the fact that we need to “comprehend”, that is, to know with the help of thought as a tool. Any tool has limitations. Knowledge itself is also limited. Existence can do without it.
Any four-dimensional object.
Three spatial dimensions are well known to us-XYZ,
but if you add one more thing to them, the mind can no longer cope with the task.
Although now people have learned to make projections of four-dimensional objects, but they cannot comprehend its shape.
Maybe in the conditions of a technological singularity, our minds will change so much that such a thing will become available.
But to realize the real forms of space, which, according to theoretical physicists, has 11 dimensions, will be impossible for people.
Something that goes too far beyond the limits of physics or the logic of our universe – for the simple reason that our minds work on physics, biology and logic, due to the laws of our universe. Everything else is potentially knowable. However, maybe we'll get to other universes with different laws, if they exist, someday – but for this, the human mind will definitely have to be radically redone =)
In the universe. Well, you really took a swing. Go to the planetarium. You will also be shown a certain game in the planetarium, which is called “Universe”. Cheap. You can also view it on the net, almost for free. But if you want knowledge, then fly to the moon alive and come back alive. And then break through the Oort cloud. What do you think? Is the released life enough?
We cannot comprehend the universe itself. What we register and are able to understand is only a small piece of the puzzle. Anything that exists or quasi-exists outside the space-time continuum will never be realized by us. Simply because our intellect is not capable of thinking in such categories.
We can't do anything. Or we all can't. As someone likes it best.
Move your finger and try to comprehend this process. Understand the process of making tea. A snowflake that landed on your nose. Anything.
We are consumers. We see it. We can poke your finger. We realize that 1+1=2. Or maybe not two. Because it's actually shorter, it doesn't mean it's faster, and real heroes take a detour.
Our awareness of something is limited only by our personal perception – a very superficial one. Our knowledge – very modest and not always correct. And … intelligence? Well, it's just the ability to analyze data, which can be supplemented with data expected or substituted for the convenience of building a theory. This is also the speed of data processing. For some, it is larger, for others it is smaller, and even different for one individual, depending on the location of his left heel to the magnetic axis of Jupiter, but in any case it has its own limit.
To understand something, you have to become it. And people are not even able to understand their own body, because they are not there, but only use it. Each of us is a person consisting of information from external sources and stored in the brain, as well as factors affecting it and, for the most part, independent of our personality.
Consumers.
What is an orbit is a boomerang all the planets go strictly in a given direction earth mars saturn and others circle around the sun or maybe our sun revolves around another larger in volume of our sun or something else around a more massive one and so on and we are just a drop in the ocean but the ocean has shores and this is infinity.
Most likely, it is precisely the precise and precise control of the universe. After all, nothing moves by itself, and it necessarily has a certain control constant.Yes, few people can go very far in these matters. But the earth format is arranged in such a way that the finiteness of knowledge has the shape of a horizon, you go and he moves the horizon away from you.
There is a difference between comprehend and imagine. Imagine in detail a person can not do anything that is larger than his brain.
But I don't see any reason for the existence of something inconceivable.
There are already a lot of questions embedded in the question itself – What does it mean to comprehend? What is intelligence? You can look at dictionaries, but each individual will perceive the definition in his own way,and maybe even be outraged. Here I am ready to answer many of the “unthinkable” questions found in this topic, and very clearly, but still 99.9% of readers will not understand me. Why? ……………………..
For something to be, to exist, there must be a REASON.
When in my “understanding” this “reason” was born, it became clear to me why there is everything (the universe) and also that a person is a being who can only be called relatively thinking. I.e. there is no free will. It was only later that I came across Chernihiv's lectures, in which my conclusions were confirmed. And then a report by Dutch Nobel Prize-winning scientist Hooft about the lack of free will in a deterministic universe further strengthened my “understanding”.
Why won't my readers understand me? Because the solution arrives in the human brain in 30 minutes (or maybe more). seconds before the question or command arrives. And then comes the “confirmation pulse” – calm down, this is your own decision! At this point, Chernihiv's conclusions come to a dead end, i.e. she does not draw conclusions, they(conclusions) are beyond her understanding.
I'll do it. A man only thinks what he thinks! He thinks and decides essentially as much as a stone flying from above thinks where to fall. But man is protected from such an understanding by nature itself-otherwise man would not exist……………
Nothing is not emptiness. Emptiness is already something, and if so, then it should be-interact, move, twist, bend-i.e. exist, which means that it is not a void at all, but Matter. One has only to understand that Absolute Nothingness is that which is not.
Infinite or non-infinite universe? To understand, I suggest drawing a “ball”. And the fact that around the “ball” fade in black. Everything that is black is Nothing. Nothing that doesn't exist! If so, let's imagine this black background as a tiny dot, and put it somewhere in the middle of the”ball”. As a result, we get – the “ball” is EVERYTHING, and the universe, and space, and matter, and antimatter. And now, whatever you want-call this “ball” with all the giblets infinite or finite. But it is still limited. Only in such a limited ball will the law of conservation of energy work. Sometimes, for an explanation, I add: “Here I crawled to the very edge of the universe, looked over the edge, and there…………..Nothing that isn't there, but instead the same universe…
This is exactly what we cannot comprehend – why is it that in a boundless universe our intelligence is limited? After all, it has long been said that ” the more you know, the more you learn, how little you know.”
The intellect cannot comprehend the spiritual world. This is the next stage of development. A spirit beyond the intellect. Its manifestations are perceived by the intellect as a miracle.
It seems to me that this thing is “nothing”. Emptiness. The absence of everything. How can one make sense of nothing if the very fact of making sense contradicts the definition of this very”nothing”? After all, emptiness is the absence of something, and we comprehend “something”. I.e., by the very fact of comprehension, we already assume that emptiness is not so empty..
In general, it is difficult for me to describe my thoughts, but I really tried to formulate them, at least to the best of my abilities.
First, intelligence is becoming less and less limited over the generations. Once our ancestors climbed trees, but now we fly into space.
Secondly, the intelligence of different people is different, someone is less limited, someone-more.
Third, there is philosophy, which is designed to logically arrive at the unknowable. For example, 2 thousand years ago, sages without any microscopes guessed that the substance should consist of the smallest, indivisible particles. They didn't think quite right about indivisibility, but they did think in a practical way for that time, and that was enough to start with.
At a minimum, humanity will never be able to comprehend the size of the universe, because they are infinite.
Similarly, in my opinion, the situation is with time travel – too many questions and too few possible, even slightly close answers…
When you remember that human Thought (which is replaced by “intelligence” in the question) is not limited by anything (everyone can find proof of this in Themselves), you can see the truth that there are no limits to meaningfulness. Just like in the universe itself, actually.

In the universe, we will never be able to comprehend what lies outside the categories of our mind, outside the concepts of time, space, gender, number, cause, substance, personality, etc. There is a lot that goes beyond logic, take for example the quantum world with its structure. If we talk about intelligence, then it is necessary to define their types: Linguistic intelligence, Logical and Mathematical Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Physical and Kinesthetic Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Natural Science Intelligence… We will never be able to comprehend what lies beyond these types of intelligence, and I am sure that in the giant universe there are billions of processes and patterns that can not be comprehended by any of these types of intelligence and categories of our mind.
The universe is fractal. Habitable planets are brain neurons in the head
Someone, and you can't argue with this,so we have eternal existence ahead of us and do not hope for eternal rest, alas.
From the beginning, you need to understand why we are lying. Why are we lying? And how long will we lie? When we talk about the universe, we understand that life is not possible there! But we continue to lie! When we talk about space exploration and flights to other planets? We're not fools! Then we understand that it is not possible to fly on these “coffins”! But we continue to lie! So the question should read like this: If we have half an ass blown off, then why, our intelligence, tells us how to get out of this predicament, without limiting us to anything! Even a whole ass! Good luck!
What is infinity and how to understand it? Yes, very simple. Draw a closed line-a circle and you can drive along it indefinitely. Take the ball and move along its largest cross-section and the path ahead will be endless. Now imagine that the universe consists of invisible giant balls and moving along it we actually move along the surface of the ball in the end we will come to where we came from. Tell me-we might turn off on the way.” Yes, but then you will go to the surface of another ball and eventually come back to where you turned off. So the head does not swell from the idea of infinity? This version is supported by what we observe in nature -the ideal shape for which everything tends on a plane-a circle, and in space-a ball. Why shouldn't the universe follow this?
Since the question is tied to time (not here and now, but in the future and always), the answer to it is also inextricably linked with time. We will not be able to comprehend those objects (subjects) and phenomena that develop (change) faster than us. Everything else we can comprehend and understand.
The number of things we'll never be able to comprehend, for starters. How much better our lives would be if we were better versions of ourselves.
The most real and, in my opinion, relevant thing is that we will not be able to comprehend the distances between objects in the universe. They are too huge for us to compare, to imagine. For example, we can imagine the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg. We understand approximately what we will have to cross along the way, how, how long we will go, and so on. But what about 2.5 million light-years from Andromeda? Here, apart from these numbers, we can't know about this distance.
There's also the question of who “we” are 🙂 There are physical theories, not to mention mathematical ones, that only a few people on Earth understand.
In addition, we cannot perceive much of the physical world directly with our senses, but only with the help of devices. A person from the entire spectrum of waves traveling in space, with his organs perceives only a few rather narrow frequency ranges. But that's not even the point. The physical world itself is so complex in essence that we can only build some models that allow us to pretend that we understand it, but this understanding is still relative, not absolute. Particles are a model of reality. Fields-the model is even closer to reality, but still it is not what it really is. What is actually there is more complex and richer, but whether we will ever be able to build an absolute model of reality is not yet certain.
In general, I believe that with some degree of approximation, a person is able to understand everything. The only question is the degree of this approximation.
Obviously, the answer to your question lies beyond the limits of our possible intelligence 🙂 After all, there is no one who would stop you from trying and say that it is absolutely impossible for a person to comprehend something. Not yet, anyway. To do this, there must be someone inhumanly smart.
In addition to things that we don't know and won't know because we can't make sense of them, there are things that we know but still can't make sense of.
For example, because of our 4-dimensional perception, we are powerless to comprehend the absence of time and gravity. We are powerless to realize that time is only our sense of time, and it occurs only where there is gravity, and it changes depending on the level of gravity. Or that gravity is not a force, but only a curvature of space-time. Surely many people have seen an experiment demonstrating how gravity bends space using the example of a stretched rubber cloth on which a heavy metal ball is thrown? We can see how the canvas stretches in only one plane, while gravity bends space-time in all directions. But because of the limitations of our perception, we can't imagine it.
The most difficult thing, of course, will be to realize the 11-dimensional space. We simply have nowhere to take the extra 7 degrees of perception.
Good question. With all the limitations of our intelligence, we always expand its boundaries, adapt not only to new knowledge, but also to new forms of perception of knowledge itself.
In the light of this, we will never be able to comprehend what we cannot PERCEIVE as an object of comprehension, on which our consciousness (perception, intelligence, whatever) can not even just focus.
It seems to me that We will NEVER be able to comprehend 'never' – that is, infinity; because we ourselves are finite. And the universe is finite. Everything is rotten…
We simply can not know this, because you have already answered, this “something” is higher than our intelligence. But the question is, if it's “something”. Any scientific discovery, even if it contradicts the current laws of science, can be comprehended.
