An elite culture is a culture for the elite. It can only be understood by those who have knowledge in this area, as opposed to mass culture, which is designed to entertain the masses. Those who understand elite culture don't have to be aristocrats or rulers who have been given the highest privileges. Even an ordinary history or art teacher, if they are smart enough and interested in learning about creative and spiritual activities, will be able to understand the elite culture and become a part of it.
