Will a person remain a person if it happens that a person ceases to be emotional and sensitive?
Let's say, hypothetically, it so happened that a person was born who is intellectually not lagging behind, and surpasses other people, but at the same time he has no emotions and feelings as such. For example, such a person does not feel fear, although he knows about the dangers, does not feel hatred for someone or something, does not feel attachment, although he knows about the meaning of certain living beings and objects for him personally (that is, such a person will know that he needs the phone for communication and communication, but will not be upset at all if he drops it.. — that is, he does not feel any emotions. At the same time, all intelligence, logic and reason are not affected from the worst side, that is, such a person will understand, for example, mathematical operations, everyday actions, can be interested in and achieve something in science, and so on… So can it then be called the word "human" and refers to it as a human, or is it still like a robot, and, despite the appearance, it is worth treating it as a robot?
There won't be any special problems )
People with low emotionality are still enough. Low emotionality is an indicator of the most adequate picture of the world, since emotions are nothing more than a reaction to the fact that some of your idea of reality is SUDDENLY refuted by this very reality )
The more suddenly it is refuted, and the greater the gap between your former belief and reality – the brighter and more stable the emotion…
I'll tell you more about it here:
What are emotions and how to deal with them
I think that when you asked this question, you were more concerned not about the lack of emotions, but about the lack of empathy, that is, the ability of a person to empathize and understand the emotions of another person…
Here, a person with a lack of empathy is really a problem for others and for society: low empathy, that is, an inability to empathize, is one of the most problematic facets of psychopathy… And from psychopaths just formed maniacs, rapists, credit brokers )) and such an audience…
To stop being emotional is to stop being alive. How can you imagine the possibility of creativity, as well as the perception of, say, music or visual art, without emotions?
Human activity is strongly connected with the emotional and volitional sphere. It sets priorities, and reason and logic only provide a form of following these priorities. By virtue of the definition of reason as pure intelligence, all motives and goals are external to it. Abstractly speaking, an emotionless subject is a creature that will need a program.
What you have described is happening right now. This is a description of the most likely vector of development of human society and in the future a person will represent just such a being. Just increase the degree of manifestation of the mind, and the manifestation of feelings will be controlled. Then constant control will lead to the unconditional suppression of sensory responses, and this in turn will become a catalyst for the withdrawal of the form from the ability to conduct such energies. The mind will be aware only of itself and the world around it will be perceived only within the framework of its distorted ideas. The criteria of reasonableness are already striving to form just such a perception, so people are looking for something similar to themselves in the universe, but they don't find it. The imbalance of perception of such beings in the direction of the mind will lead precisely to the physical inability to reproduce feelings, and even more so the mind will not be able to understand the manifestation of feelings in others. These changes will become irreversible, as the inner essence will change first, and only in the second place the external expression in the form of a form. You can call such a creature whatever you want, depending on the point of reference, that is, on what we will compare it with. These are all evaluative subjective concepts that don't really matter. But since there will be no other people left, then on the basis of excluding other options, the remaining option will have to be recognized as a person or a distant descendant of a person. These descendants will search for their origins, just as we do, but by means that are not available to us. Of course they will look for evidence, and of course they will find it simply because they already can. They will find us, but they will look at us through the lens of their absolute mind (absolute from our evaluation position). They won't find what they expected. They will not be able to understand what they see, and they will not be able to draw the thread that connects them with us, and us with those who came before us. In their understanding, it will look as if they did not exist at the beginning, and therefore they can not be at the end. When there is a tool that allows you to view any moment of the time interval, the mind will definitely use it. And when he uses it, he will drive himself into a logical trap, since there is a means, but there is no answer that can be accepted. It will not be possible to think out something or adjust the desired to the actual, as we are doing now. This will be a manifestation of the second barrier to the growth of technocratic civilizations based on unbalanced intelligence, which have experienced self-destruction in the process of their own evolution at earlier stages. Failure to overcome this barrier will lead to the formation of a crisis of self-identification and, as a result, to regression (loss of self). Since absolute reason cannot forget what it has already learned or ignore what it has perceived. The loss of self will lead to the loss of the ability to perceive the world as it is (the collapse of consciousness and the subsequent collapse of reality without an observer). Unfortunately, all absolutely reasonable and technocratic branches of development are ultimately dead ends. That is why we do not find material traces of their existence in the visible universe, including signals that carry information potential through time.
