The worldview base is what is most important to you in life, what you live for and what you are willing to die for. Through the prism of this highest value, you will look at the world, paying primary attention to one thing and noticing less about the other. It is extremely important that this main thing is not some small, obviously exhausted and inevitably leading to disappointment. In addition, this value should be truly yours, it should “warm your soul”, that is, you should feel a certain inspiration even from just thinking about it. For a list of top-value attributes and examples, see here.
On the truth. And the truth must be sought. And to search for the truth, you need to ask yourself questions and look for answers to them. And in order for the answers to be correct, you need to subject any answer to criticism. And through the prism of criticism to learn what is false and what is true.
Based on the scientific method and the knowledge obtained with its application. It includes everything you need and logic, philosophy and other sciences. Then you will have no problems with the foundation exactly, and then you will understand for yourself what you need to develop.
In order not to have problems with the foundation, you need not to be based on it. It is best to have a neutral, conscious attitude towards any descriptions and types of worldview. This approach allows you to take into account information from any model without being identified with it, and without generating illusions. And do not limit yourself to describing one particular model that may contradict another. For this reason, the best “foundation” is mindfulness. Consciously from the position of an observer, look at what we are drawn to, and why. And as a result, already move towards certain goals. If you do not attach yourself to a certain theoretical worldview, and rely on awareness and practice, then there will be no problems with the worldview.
The foundation of a worldview can be anything. But it is important to always remember that this foundation itself is not based on anything. This is the result of an arbitrary choice. Usually, this choice is made for a person by his environment. And that's why most people feel comfortable being in their own environment. After all, everyone around is their own. They have the same basic ontology. You can come to an agreement on almost any issue.
If you choose your foundation yourself, then another task will automatically arise after that. You will also need to find a suitable environment, which will not be a problem due to differences in worldview. You should not even dream of changing others to suit you. Humanity has not evolved for millions of years, constantly improving its ability to form stable social structures, so that some random kent can arbitrarily change social reality at the click of a button.
Sergey Kara-Murza “Manipulation of consciousness” and all the works that are referenced there. And of course, traditional and religious education(if it is instilled).
You won't regret it that's for sure
The basis of your worldview can be formed on the basis of the fact that you have five senses and one consciousness. The five senses point to symbols whose object is beyond your imagination, but the mind does not point to anything, because it is part of the object. Symbols change their structure over time, but they don't change the object. If you understand this phrase in a way that few people understand it, then you can assume that it can work for a while. In order to test yourself, you need to imagine what contradictions most people have with it, and then abandon them in order to come to an absolute proof. After that, you have two options – either you will come to an absolute proof, or not. It turned out to be generalized, but that's what the base is for. Refinements occur only on the way to an absolute proof. What is an absolute proof in symbols, mathematicians will tell you. No one will tell you what consciousness is, because it is not worth looking for in symbols. You know what the five senses are a priori, but if you have only one, then it can be five.
In the Gospels, Christ directly and without coquetry called Himself the Truth, Life, Salvation, Way and foundation – the true and solid foundation on which only any person needs to build his life:
On checking the result. Do something-check your knowledge, whether it is objective, whether it can withstand the properties of real life, whether it will work in all the necessary situations. If you are studying the technology, check whether it is as effective as it is written in the documentation or advertising. Check what the statements are based on, whether the words are based on words or facts. Look for what other “buildings” rely on, and the choice of what you can rely on will become clear. Do not trust your instincts, check with your mind and measuring tool.
I advise you to immediately protect yourself from possible common mistakes. Avoid pronounced ideological positions, support moderation and the golden mean in everything. When there is no experience, the temptation is strong to hit your head in something romantic and rebellious, such as an ardent follower of Chegevara. Then all the same, such individuals, having had this disease in their 30s, switch to energy saving mode. But when people are young, they make a lot of mistakes and break their spears. And the problem can be compounded by the fact that such hobbies create a face, a reputation, which can then turn out to be something like a stigma, and usually people can make a lot of enemies by being hot-headed. But all strong ideological positions are essentially dual, so becoming an ardent socialist automatically makes the entire camp of the moderate and ultra-right an enemy. Religion is even worse. A person who immediately becomes a cosmopolitan, pacifist, agnostic and secular humanist will not lose anything, will not cross the road to anyone, and will save his time and effort. Often people come to this through a painful experience of mistakes and trials. And everyone comes to this, unless they are destroyed earlier. And it should also be said that the best ideology is a mind free from the taste of any ideology, where there is knowledge about all the main existing positions. Such a person will have the most powerful support, and it will be impossible to shake him. This is the foundation in which you will provide yourself with an alternative view without personal interest in something, a clear perception, since by and large the impassable gap of philosophies and concepts is a dense forest in which even a glimpse of the truth can be difficult to see. In ancient India, they used to compare the diversity of different worldview positions in the form of a pit filled with snakes, where they continuously sting each other, and any unfortunate person who falls there will not get out. Therefore, the best ideology is the absence of an ideology and a general worldview, which can be called synthetic, that is, the absence of an ideology. e. consisting of a synthesis of all the different basic ideas.
Here is what was said about this in an ancient text: Paramatthaka Sutta “Abiding in excellence”
The logic mentioned in the comments serves the task of consistency of actions in the direction of solving the value problem. That is, the task of the worldview is to forge the level of logic that is necessary to serve this task, since “the task gives birth to an organ”.
There are some attempts to classify logics by levels, I have met such. It is all, however, collected within the concept of paired oppositions, which does not cover the whole problem, since at least there is the idea of triplicity, as opposed to binary order, as the foundation of thinking.
It is not for nothing that they say (Einstein wrote) that it is impossible to solve a problem in terms of a (negative) statement of the problem, but it is necessary to expand the concepts that become a rank higher. Hence, it is possible to consider tn positivism by mixing it with Sufi and other interpretations of positive knowledge.
It goes without saying that such a task cannot be set from within a spirit that is not developed in relation to value issues; one should familiarize oneself with the works of systematizers of physics, metaphysics and philosophy, even if they worked together. You should read philosophers.
The last “thing” that I undertook to reread was Florensky's article ” On Infinity symbols. An essay on Cantor's ideas ” where the classification of actual infinity in three spheres is analyzed:in God, in matter, in thought. Also, Max Muller's “6 systems of Indian Philosophy” is still poorly understood, as a good attempt to give order to the fundamental attitudes of the worldview. For us, of course, hypothetically, in the key ” how will it be if we take this particular order of (abstract) entities, in a particular hierarchy.
Anyway, the worldview is not even an installation, but a model of the installation of a worldview. And if your idea (in relation to the foundation) is a gyroscope, then you should build a gyroscopic model, if a spaceship, then it. Can a thought be, say, a bunch of dill? Maybe, if it's convenient. But some still prefer balance and symmetry.
I thought about this question for a long time many years ago. I have a complete solution:
Don't rely on hate. Then it will become unnecessary, and your world will be overturned. You have no idea how painful this can be. It means not to accept as the truth the ideology that comes from religious intolerance, racism, homophobia, any xenophobia, gender hatred.
Do not deify people neither close nor famous. Do not lose yourself in a relationship and do not accept the whole worldview of the other.
Don't expect too much from people.
Stay away from both state propaganda and extremist propaganda. Even if the state tries to persuade you not to use plastic bags, check ten times whether it is necessary.
Always turn on your brain and think through painful moments in advance. Then one day the worldview of others will collapse, and yours will be slightly shaken. Here are some examples:
• If there is a God, then why do wars exist?
* Why there is injustice.
* Why some babies are born with motor or sensory impairments.
* Why God didn't give you everything at once.
* Why elected rulers are imperfect.
* Why there is corruption in the West.
* Who benefits from wars.
• At what month does an abortion change from a procedure to the destruction of a small person?
* Why not all parents are responsible for their children.
* Why friendships end.
* What is more important, self-esteem, a harmonious life or a high salary.
* What free will means to us. It's predestination.
* Who is sitting in the dark corner.
I already have the answers to these questions, and if I encounter horrors, it will be very difficult for me emotionally, but not at the level of the worldview. If you don't turn on your brain beforehand, you will have to quickly realize the collapse of your worldview right at the moment of disaster.
Don't believe in beautiful but incorrect formulas. Do good without expecting any gratitude or reward from the universe. Because otherwise it is a mutually beneficial exchange, not a good thing. Because it's a little crusty with major disappointments.
Try to understand people even if they don't agree with you.
Consider the synthesis. For example, Eastern beliefs and Western ones.
Clearly understand that science does not interfere with either morality or faith in God.
Listen to arguments. Understand when the discomfort is caused by unscrupulous methods of the disputant. And when — flaws in your value system.
Don't be afraid to admit your mistake and turn on your brain.
You can rely on the understanding that consciousness is naturally free. That initially there are no mind-limiting things. In the process of observing the external world, networks of connections are formed in the mind. These networks make up the stereotypes of thinking that make up the whole picture of the world — the worldview. This view of the world is constantly changing, because something new is constantly happening in the world that affects consciousness. It turns out that the mind is made up of layers. The most basic layer is completely free, not tied to anything. And the next layers are the attachments of the mind that make up the personality. That is, the basis of consciousness is such a laser beam, and layers of stereotypes are films through which this beam shines and creates a complete hologram of the external world.
Why is understanding freedom important? Because a free-thinking person is able to give up any attachments, any illusions at the moment when his idea does not coincide with the outside world. He is ready to change his worldview if he sees that the reality is different. Thus, it can prevent and neutralize the discrepancy between what is desired and what is valid. The coincidence of ideas about the world with reality — this is happiness.
