Oddly enough, in the brain, namely in the occipital lobe, where the primary visual cortex is located. When it is irritated by one or another factor, a person develops blindness, simultaneously with its denial. Visual images appear, but the brain denies blindness and takes the images for reality. It's also where blind people have their dreams.
