According to them, previously the lives of people were ruled by all sorts of gods, on which all natural phenomena depended. Based on the same mythology, once upon a time there was a god Saturn, whose wife was the goddess Gaia. Since Saturn was sure that he must die at the hands of one of his children, he destroyed each of them. However, Gaia, fearing that all her children would be killed, hid one of her sons – Kronos. The titan Kronos, according to legend, gave death that famous scythe. However, initially it was not a scythe at all, but a sickle.
