  1. Don't you think that just because it is logically impossible to prove/refute it, this is the reason why the dispute continues? After all, if a strictly logical proof of the presence/absence of God were possible, all disputes would immediately stop, and everyone would immediately turn into theists/atheists (I'm exaggerating, of course).

Do we argue that water boils at 100 degrees Celsius (at sea level)? Or that a person is usually a creature with two arms and two legs? Or that the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees? No, the subject of dispute is precisely things that cannot be established unambiguously and uniformly for everyone: which is better – rock or rap? Who is more beautiful-Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise? Who is greater: Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar? If there are Gods , then is everything allowed or not?

  2. Not exactly. To prove the existence of God logically is very simple: it is enough to present one copy of God. But to prove the absence of God – or indeed the absence of anything – is logically impossible. What theists, alas, often forget when they demand to ” prove that there is no God. Yeah, you can't! that's it!”

And disputes exist because there is a difference of opinion. This is normal 🙂 Logic for disputes is not necessary at all, as practice shows.

  3. Atheism and faith are two types of worldview of people who are firmly convinced that they are right. If a person is not sure about something, he will not argue (unless of course he is a fool).

Although it is impossible to logically prove the existence of God, as well as His absence, a person's beliefs are embedded deep in his inner world, and only God can remove them from there for atheists, and no one can remove them for believers.

The question is complicated, because true faith is essentially a personal acquaintance with the Creator, that is, KNOWLEDGE; and therefore the logical justifications that science seeks are not necessary for a true believer.

However, for a believer, everything speaks about God – and the magnificent structure of nature, the cosmos, human intelligence, intelligence, creativity, and so on…

I tried to present a Christian point of view on this issue, but the problem is that in addition to sane believers, there are also overly intelligent fanatics who do not know anything about God, but are stubborn in the doctrine imposed by religious professionals, and often such people do evil, which leads to rejection by many normal people of the idea of God in general. Trouble!

Similarly, atheism can be imposed on a person from his youth, as for example in Soviet institutions, and then such a person cannot be brought to the church by any gingerbread; he will stubbornly insist that there is no God, and even try to find confirmation of his unbelief in science and philosophy.

Life is very rich in a variety of intellectual joys, and of course-why also God? Whether this is a mistake or not – life will show.

  4. The argument between theists and atheists goes beyond a rational discussion of an abstract object. As a rule, this is a dispute about the expediency of religious education and upbringing, issues of euthanasia, abortion, artificial insemination, immortological developments, etc. wherever in real life there are differences between theists and atheists.

  5. What kind of dispute can there be? What is the subject of the dispute?

The believer does not need to prove anything.

Faith is the recognition of something as true, regardless of factual or logical justification

Even if we hypothetically assume that a believer proves God, then he automatically becomes not a believer, but a knower.

The desire to get evidence from a believer is generated by atheists.

It is the atheists who need to prove their statement “There is no God”, because if it is not proved ,then (see definition of faith) it is an atheistic faith.

And as long as atheists have no proof, atheism is a faith.

True, this atheistic faith is very strange and perhaps the only faith that the believers themselves deny.

  6. Most disputes between people are not scientific in nature.

The scientific method is based on understanding and recognizing a simple fact:”My view of the world is incomplete and inaccurate.” Then the person is ready to correct their ideas based on new facts. And new facts will most likely be provided to him by a person who has a different opinion on the issue under discussion.

In everyday life, we are much more likely to encounter disputes that are not aimed at mutual enrichment of facts and conclusions. The goal is to demonstrate yourself, win, etc. These are the kinds of arguments that include discussions about Faith. There are no arguments and cannot be any. But there are many opportunities for emotional impact on the opponent and the audience.

  7. Perhaps it is because it is by nature unbearable for a person to see when some untruth occurs, and the truth is silent and does not refute the lie.

When a theist hears words that speak against God, he is indignant inwardly. After all, this is not true, but the truth is here. If you don't tell the truth, everyone will believe the lie.

When an atheist hears words of religious propaganda, words that are not based on reliable facts, but simply believe in outdated nonsense, obscurantism, then everything boils up inside him. Perhaps, like the theist, he simply cannot bear to hear the untruth inwardly.

  8. Logically, the evidence, and the reality of GOD, HAS ALREADY BEEN DEMONSTRATED TO THE WORLD.The coming to Earth, and the life of the SON of GOD on it,was accompanied by numerous miracles to prove it.He is exactly like his heavenly FATHER,which is why he claimed that He who has seen Me has also seen GOD. There is plenty of evidence, but little FAITH.

  9. You walk down the street, and you run into an elephant, and you realize it's there, it looks like this. Objective reality transcends our understanding of it.Why.Because the GOD who created it transcends the human mind. And disputes exist, because people love their point of view, and do not want to lose it,so to speak, the wrong use of love, by the way, is widespread in Russia. Now, one day a person comes across GOD,and he understands that he is, and he is like this.Well, as a rule, GOD simply lets himself be discovered, and focuses the person's gaze on himself.

  10. It is an axiom that the existence of God does not depend on anyone's opinion, so this argument is completely absurd.Theist and atheist in this case are in an illusion. Because the axiom is objective and not sub.
