There are a lot of decent books on psychology…To give advice, you need to know what purpose you are interested in. For beginners, I would recommend books by Dale Carnegie, books about the psychology of communication. And so, from the easily readable and not requiring special knowledge of psychology, I can recommend the textbook by David Myers – “Social Psychology”. Interestingly written, with examples, pictures (black and white) and notes.
From my own experience, I can say that not all books on psychology are interesting and informative. But I was interested in several books:
Types of people and business-Otto Krager
Psychology of Motivation-Heidi Grant Halvorson and Tory Higgins
The Wisdom of Gandhi -Mahatma Gandhi
are you interested in psychology or “psychology”?
if you are interested in psychology, then read Atkinson's Introduction to Psychology first. This book is an excellent read, introduces all areas of modern psychology, basic concepts, and generally provides a scientific base in a digestible and fascinating form.
