Good question! I thought about it myself. I don't think you should, and here's why: at that long-ago moment when these people were doing this to you…what they did, they certainly didn't think months or years ahead. They did this bad thing to you back then. And if they later say that they hurt you in advance knowing that you will cope, and that everything will be fine-I think about this (about their talent to see the future) you can only laugh.
Thus, the fact that everything ended well is a big “plus” for you, and not for them. And the fact that they did it then, a long time ago, with you is a “minus” to them. Well, what is there to thank evil people for?
