  1. Usually, someone who cries insincerely calms down very quickly and easily, easily moving on to another topic of conversation. A person who is really genuinely upset and crying can't be so flexible in changing their mood, I think. Although it can happen in different ways for everyone:)

  2. I think it's hard to tell the difference. I often cry myself, because I am very emotional. I can cry if I see some heartbreaking post on the network, but I will leave in a minute and as if nothing happened. At the same time, I will not writhe or make any sounds. Just a classic tear will flow and it seems like I've already cried, sincerely. As a rule, now people play in front of the camera: they are killed, they are shaking, they are shouting in a different voice. Because it's become a canon of behavior when you're upset. Everyone will pay attention to this, because the “actor” himself wants it.

My friend was in a stressful situation, held back in front of me (we live together), but one day she locked herself in the bathroom, turned on all the taps and cried. You could only hear it if you listened, and I listened because I was worried about her. As she did so, she came out with a smile on her face, as if she wasn't crying at all.

It seems that you can determine the sincerity of tears only by feeling the person. If he is a well-known manipulator, if you know that there may be some emotional trick here, then the ANSWER is obvious – this is a theatrical performance, and if you feel that things are really bad and the person really fell apart-support, do not stay away! 🙂

I add: plakunov river flows water from the nose (tested on yourself!)

  3. Based on what I've read in Paul Ekman and what I've seen in my life, crying and sad people have wrinkles on their foreheads in a certain shape, and it's almost impossible to fake these wrinkles if you're not an actor. It looks like this: the inner corners of the eyebrows rise up and come closer to each other, sometimes the wrinkles between the eyebrows can resemble a horseshoe (but this is individual). This is like the most basic thing, well, the rest is rapid breathing, blushes, the lower lip pressed to the top and stretched to the sides (there are also wrinkles on the chin), obvious tears. In general, it still depends on the strength of the emotions at which crying occurs and how intense it is, plus it can take partial forms, such as eyebrows are involved, but lips are not.

Completely all the participating parts of the face in crying can be clearly seen in children, since they usually do not yet know how to mask emotions:

  4. Tears flow freely, the face turns purple, the lips are distorted with a long grimace, which by the good will of the crying person cannot pass. Your lips will shake, your chin will shake.

In general, sometimes it is difficult to distinguish when people cry sincerely and when they don't.

Very often, crying people turn away, put their head up, freeze in one position, because crying is a very stressful situation for the body, the body does not have the strength for other actions. The crying person may choke on his own saliva, mucus flows from the nose.
