If you take the phrase as you took it, then you will find it pulled out of the general context, then various translation variations are quite acceptable, as in many other similar phrases 🙂 But in the general context of Hamlet's monologue, I clearly see exactly the translation that is given to us now. So, I think that the structure of this sentence is transmitted, fortunately, correctly 🙂
You probably wanted to ask what Hamlet wanted to say to his friends… “to be or not to be”? Well, like, kill your stepfather or let the dog live, find the truth or live like this, like everything is written.
