Even in the days of Nazi Germany, people refused to fight and left. I personally have several friends whose great-grandfathers left for Kazakhstan in those days.
There is also an alternative service. And it consists precisely in helping people. In our city, you can get an alternative service either in a hospital or in nursing homes.
So the only thing a pacifist can do is not serve or fight. I understand that it is also quite difficult to watch from the outside, but what can one person do? At least my conscience will be clear.
