Cultural code, probably related to the early twentieth-century interpretation of Darwinism that a) intelligence is directly related to brain volume b) there is a tendency to increase intelligence and, as a result, brain volume. Then everything is simple: the action of the cultural code is activated, what some wrote as fiction, less gifted individuals begin to broadcast as reality, and now the contactees see what is stored in their heads and what they expect to see.
