You know, I immediately recall such a psychological defense as “projection”, this is when qualities that you do not like or are forbidden to yourself are attributed to other people. If this is not about you, then don't take it personally, I don't know you and I really don't want to offend you, but if you meet mean people almost everywhere, and even regularly, then it's still about you. I can say to myself that I don't remember the last time I caught myself even thinking that someone did something mean-I see evil, envy occurs, laziness, self – doubt – yes, but straight meanness is extremely rare, in my opinion, a phenomenon.
