A society of total control is never better – such a society, even if we do not take into account the violation of rights and freedoms, the depreciation of human life, etc., stagnates and sooner or later degrades. Human thought, science, and culture cannot develop under total control, and without the development of these important factors, society is destroyed.
For uncontrolled freedom, we obviously do not yet have enough awareness and personal responsibility. Although we evolve as a species and change over time, so maybe in a few thousand years our brains will evolve sufficiently for complete uncontrolled freedom.
